Concept trains professionals who already speak English to use it with confidence at work. Our method teaches what standard courses skip: register, pragmatics, and timing under pressure.
The Concept team is made up of coaches built on the Concept Method. Your people talk to them in the Concept Coach app on the days without a lesson.
Would your team get these right? Take the 5-question testTHE PROBLEM
Your people passed the test. They read the contracts, they follow the calls. But in the negotiation, the board update, the difficult client conversation, they hesitate. They soften when they should hold firm, or push when they should hedge. The deal doesn't fail on grammar. It fails on tone.
That gap isn't vocabulary. It's pragmatics, register, and timing: the layer standard courses rarely teach, because it's harder to test and harder to sell. It's also the layer your senior people are judged on, in every room that matters.
Built for the moment the meeting gets real, not the moment the test ends.
THE FOUNDER
Concept was founded by Pedro Gigollotti, who has taught professional communication for 25 years in six countries: Brazil, the USA, England, Ireland, Malta, and Italy. That experience is why Concept can teach how English changes between a London boardroom, a New York sales call, and a Milan negotiation.
Pedro designed the Concept Method and directs every program. He also works in teacher training, Cambridge examination preparation, and syllabus design. Every Concept lesson follows the method he designed, the same way each time.
The Concept Method is written down for teachers. Pedro trained teachers for twelve years as academic coordinator at Concept Idiomas in São Paulo.
Experience preparing candidates for Cambridge English exams.
Concept builds the curriculum around your context: your industry, your scenarios, and your communication goals.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
So grateful for his teaching approach and methodology. Effective learning is important for effective communication: the how and why determine how your register and tone of voice can be tailored to the challenging current landscape of communication.
After one month I can say Pedro is more than an English teacher. Thanks to his extensive experience in English and psychology he quickly understood my needs and adapted the learning to my goals and personality. His lessons are interactive, dynamic, and never boring.
Pedro is an incredible professional. From day one he understood exactly where my gaps were and took me where I wanted to go. Unlike the classic English courses, Pedro teaches you the language for real, breaking out of the usual patterns.
I tried several English programs with different teachers, but Pedro and his approach are unique. The best ever, no doubt.
Pedro is not the classic English teacher, he is fantastic. His method is tailored, extremely effective and useful for improving communication in English. For the first time ever I like taking English classes and I can really see results.
Two years of lessons and they are never trivial. He has a background and a competence that put him well above a simple English teacher.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Executives, sales, and account leads who negotiate, present, and defend positions in English, where tone carries as much weight as terms.
Teams working across borders and cultures, where a misread register costs credibility with partners, investors, and clients.
Buyers who need progress they can report: levels on the CEFR scale and a monthly report with hours and attendance.
THE METHOD
Language is taught the way it's actually used, as chunks and collocations rather than isolated grammar. Roots, trunk, branches, leaves: every lesson grows from real context, not a word list.
Students reason through grammar by comparing it to their own native language, and reach conclusions themselves. A rule you derive sticks longer than one you're handed.
Knowing the language is useless if your brain cannot retrieve it under pressure. We analyze cognitive load, working memory limits, and mother-tongue interference to build rapid automaticity. We don't just train what you say; we train how your brain accesses it when the stakes are high.
THE TRIPLE A CYCLE. EVERY LESSON.
Students meet new language in a real, unmodified context: an email, a call, a negotiation.
The key step. Every expression is mapped onto five registers, from frozen to intimate, so students learn exactly when a phrase costs them credibility.
That language gets used right away, in a scenario close to what the student will actually face at work.
Most methods stop at meaning. Ours doesn't stop until the register is right.
LEVELS
Every program is mapped onto the CEFR scale, from A1 to C2. The CEFR is the international standard for language levels.
Register and pragmatics work intensifies from B1 onward, exactly where most learners plateau.
THE PROGRAMS
There is no fixed menu. We design each program around the conversations your people actually have with clients, in meetings, and in negotiations.
One-to-one work with a senior professional who needs to perform in a specific room: a board, a pitch, a negotiation.
Programs for several people in one company. Each person has individual lessons, and the company receives a monthly report with hours and attendance.
Concept has built programs across finance, law, logistics, marketing, HR, and negotiation. Whatever your field, we write the syllabus after we understand it, not before.
THE LEARNING
Hours follow the learner's progress. A learner who reaches the goals of a stage early moves to the next stage without waiting for a fixed calendar.
We give speaking and listening more weight on purpose, because work happens in real time. The company receives a monthly report with hours and attendance.
WHY CONCEPT
HOW TO START
Before anyone commits to anything, we run a 45-minute diagnostic call. We speak with one or two of your people and tell you where they have difficulty under pressure and what it would take to fix it. Then you decide whether to go further.
A real conversation with your people, not a sales pitch. We need to hear them speak before we can diagnose anything.
You get an honest written assessment: the current CEFR level, the specific gaps, and whether training is worth it.
If it makes sense, we write a proposal built on what we heard. If it doesn't, we will tell you that too.
